Many thanks to Sharon and Trish for inviting me to show my garden. And also thanks as well for all of your kind comments Smiling Indeed it took a bit of planning how to make the little sideyard work Big Grin Just for reference, this was how it looked like before:

The very empty space with hard clayish soil:

And this is how it was after we had the pavers installed, without any plants around it yet, and trying to see how the sun shines on the sideyard..the canopy of trees outside our property puts the sideyard in shade, and I only get a few good hours of direct sun.

I always look at these photos to remind me how it was before and see if I have indeed made good improvements on the sideyard.
