My Mammillaria elegans has been blooming and every time I go by it I think of this thread! The little blooms remind me of those little glued-on everlasting flowers - in the color, the size and the configuration of how they bloom. There are a lot of buds still growing. It may make a blossom crown. Here's a couple of photos.
