All my Red Cauli are flopping, either short or tall stems. When there is lot of direct sun they just drop almost down and their leaves also flop, seems they are affected by the heat more than let's say Spectabile which so far I have not seen flop from a lot direct sun.
As soon as they get watered they look fine, still bent but not with flopping leaves and almost to the ground.
So now if I water them they get tall fast, if I move them out of the light then they also grow tall fast ( see those in a lot of light are much shorter and leaves more compacted), it all seems like a vicious circle with the Red Cauli.
I suspect the granular fertilizer that is around the roots is not helping either, like more leaves are generated at the top, the stem elongates and thus becomes even more top heavy to flop easier.
But it is clear that I cannot keep them dry, I have to water them when in full sun.
Maybe I could use some sticks to keep the stems up, as I was saying even if they get watered they are still arched pretty good.
Or maybe these need to planted slightly deeper than let's say Spectabile, to get more ground support?
