Exactly...the way you worded it... the blooms fall off and there are no hips (sack thing like roses). I did read that ladybanks are supposed to be male and female...thought for a while I didn't have a male that I could pollenate but I have three bushes and don't see anything resembling pollen... You know one year I did bury a branch still attached to the mail bush and I though it was taking and I don't remember how it got dug up (probably the dogs LOL)
