Sounds like everyone has been busy working outdoors now that the weather is improving. Hurray! I've been having fun with my latest project - a new garden out back. I live on a hilltop so have rocks the size of table tops. Problem is they were mostly buried under dirt. To 'unearth' them, I scraped away soil and hauled it away. Then I swept and hosed them to get them clean. Next step was pulling out the bunch grass and other weeds so I could tuck flowers into the vacant spaces. Right now all the plants are "babies" - grown from seeds or propagated from cuttings with a few purchased 4" pots. The ground is too rocky to even consider planting one gallon pots - and a five gallon would be impossible without a backhoe! I'm hoping that the warmer weather will bring clouds of butterflies to visit; I plan to sit and watch and take photos. But first I have more work to do as the garden expands a bit each day. Smiling Need to get this finished because I'm not getting any younger! Rolling on the floor laughing

The new 8 ft. fence will prevent the deer from using this garden as an all-you-can-eat buffet.
