Has anyone tried dirt for molds yet? That's what I been using and it works great. You can dig holes for molds, or I prefer mounding the dirt just need to be moist to work with. Cover with thin plastic. mix and spread use a plant tag for a gauge mark 1 1.5or 2 inch with a marker on the stick to check thickness. just push the stick in random places to check for thickness. You can really make some nice dish garden pots.
