As far as orchid sources go, every orchid grower has their favorites depending upon where they live and what they grow. You will pick your favorites over time as well.

As far as fragrance goes, that is a difficult reason to decide exactly which orchids that you will grow. Not every one is fragrant. At least some do not have a scent that we can detect. Angracoids are fragrant at night because they are largely white and are pollinated by night flying insects. Bulbophyllums are fragrant because they are pollinated by carrion feeding insects. But if you are looking for the most fragrant group of orchids, it would be the Cattleya group!!
