Welcome! Christine!
I grow mostly Cattleya and yes, they are very fragrant!
Some remind me of spring flowers, daffodils , lily of the valley..muscari. Others remind me of roses or just sweet and spicy. Most of the large classic looking flowers have wonderful fragrance.

the easy to find B. nodosa variety has intoxicating fragrance in the evening only.

As to where to get orchids...I would suggest googling 'Orchid societies near me' or 'orchid clubs near me' ..'Orchid growers near me'...and I would check out the garden centers at Lowe's and HomeDepot for the Better-Gro ( bag babies) plants. I've found some real gems there.
Glad you've found us!
