Hi Christine Welcome!

I echo the Cattleya scent! Many have a wonderful fragrance. It is a good idea to buy in bloom to check it out! Too many, too numerous to mention! Smiling

I posted a list of fragrant Orchids years ago and I copied it now and revised it a bit.

Many Miltoniopsis smell really nice - top note of Cyclamen
But not all do, so if I want a nicely fragrant one, I check the vendor tables at a show and start sniffing the blooms.
Tuberolabium quisumbingii and odoratissimum
Angraecum sesquipedale - at sundown scent is similar to Paper Whites mixed with that of Acidantheras ( White floral scent typical of Moth pollinated flowers)
Dendrochilum glumaceum - scent of Anise with a touch of Vanilla ( don't believe that hay-scented description which every one seems to copy from each other)
Dendrochilum magnum, now that smells like a freshly mowed meadow in beautiful sunshine
Coelia bella - Marzipan and delicious perfume mix, blooms around Christmas
Encyclia brassavolae - scent of Carnations, after sundown ( spicy floral)
Neofinetia falcata and Fuukirans - mostly strongly Vanilla scented, some with additional touches of Pina Colada and similar "yummies"
Miltonia regnellii - smells of Coriander and Dill pickles with some fruity aspects
Dendrobium kingianum - sweet and wonderful
Dendrobium anosmum/superbum - top note of Raspberries and Rhubarb
Dendrobium unicum - Apricots and Peaches
Cycnodes Wine Delight - scent of Spearmint and Cinnamon ( scent of Teaberry Gum!!!)
Epidendrum parkinsonianum - like a clean soap
Stanhopea wardii - it perfumes a whole house with a sultry floral scent mixed with perhaps some Camphor and Eucalyptus
other Stanhopeas - strongly beautifully scented
Brassavola glauca - beautiful scent at sundown, a touch of cyclamen perhaps
Brassavola nodosa - scented at sundown ( the lady of the night) - white floral to rosy floral
Laelia anceps - Anise
Ornithophora radicans or now Gomesa radicans - smells like 1000 Dandelions in the sun
Maxillaria tenuifolia - smells strongly of coconut suntan lotion or Macaroons ( not Macarons, I mean those made with Coconut)
Oncidium Twinkle - mostly Carnation scent
Jumellea comorensis - Cinnamon scented

(Now the other side of the coin, if you are looking for a super stinker - there is Bulbophyllum echinolabium. Better have it blooming outside or near a fan. And it was a total surprise to me some time ago to stick my nose into a beautifully bloomed Masdevallia tovarensis and and get a strong whiff of Pyridine, totally unexpected. )

Most of the time we will add a note to our post regarding a nice scent. Just browse the monthly threads....And have fun!
