Maybe wait a bit longer for them to mature more. I'm not sure it's important, but it can't hurt.
200 pineapple plants! Wow! Where do you keep them all? Do you live where they can stay outdoors all year? I have to move them into a tiny greenhouse, so I don't grow them anymore.
