Yes Becky, great tip & a lesson learned from the travails of others. I have not been in the habit of carrying mine while out in the yard. But now I read the stories & it could happen to me so from now on I will have it with me. I have always carried it when leaving the yard but now I will have it in the yard too. Thanks everyone for your stories too.
And I will add a tidbit also. This is courtesy of my husband. Sort of a security precaution. When taking a walk & you see an unsavory looking character either walking or going by in a car or you're going past a rather deserted area go ahead & pull out your cell & put it to your ear & "act" like you're talking to someone --- even go ahead & have an imaginary conversation out loud --- If someone is thinking of doing you harm they will think twice if they think you're actually talking to someone.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
