After almost a week off, I returned to some genuine cooking. I made penne and peppers with a bite. The red sauce featured a blend of peppers, including a jalapeno, with some onion, and a de-cased hot Italian sausage. I also added some sliced pepperoni which was warmed rather than cooked. Just Italian bread on the side. And Chianti. Still with that. Made for a fine end to a very nice day in the garden.
