My sympathies on your PCIs. Don't get me wrong... this is now year 3 of acquiring PCIs, and almost all of the ones from years 1 and 2 died, including all but two received as bare-root plants. I am really beginning to think that I have my best luck with PCIs if I get them already potted and/or growing in dirt. As the local nurseries have few named PCIs for sale, I was pleased when the three PCIs I ordered this spring from Sequim Rare Plants came in dirt. I had to immediately pot them (the dirt/rootball was in a bag, not in a pot), but they are still doing fine! They carry some Ghio PCIs. Whistling http://sequimrareplants.com/pl...
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom
