Those are so sweet, Janice!
I'm pulling out annuals and cutting stuff back today. It's a great thing, 'cause now I can see the weeds to pull them! My beds are so jam-packed with stuff that summer weeding is nearly impossible, at least right around the plants. This is one of my favorite times, actually, just because the ground is nice and moist, the worms have the soil loosened, and it's easy to get all of those pesky roots out....even the ten thousand or so tree seedlings.
We had a mast crop of tree seeds for some reason this year - there's plenty of sproutlings if anybody wants some.
