Thanks Janet, I have checked all the other species you mentioned, but still Roystonea regia is the perfect match, I had googled many pictures of it on several sites and they all look like that.
It seems not to be unusual that in Bazilian towns some species used are native to other countries, also in people's gardens and yards.
