I have had the problem with water runoff and installed a false creek bed , looks like a dry riverbed. It dosen't have to be too wide but don't make it straight , looks ''wrong''
Small stone in the middle and larger on the edges.
This is not my place just the only example I could find right now.
Of course yours would be a lot smaller.
