I worried about catmint too, as my neighbors have a number of roving cats. I planted Nepeta faassenii Select Blue from High Country gardens in a new hillside garden this spring. I tried it because I needed something that would grow in poor, unamended soil. It is blooming beautifully and undisturbed by cats, rabbits and deer.
