AG, it is fine.
Mine do the bendy leaf thing too, even when they are not screaming for water. It irritates me and I do not know what causes it, but I have not experienced that as an indication of an issue with the plant.
It is however screaming for water. I suggest, that one early morning or right around dusk you put the hose next to it and let it run for 30-40 minutes giving it a deep soak. Now, one thing to note is that this kind of closed up posture of the plant is to protect itself from the harsh sunlight and increase moisture retention. If it is less water needy it will probably acquire a more open posture, leading to some sun scorching. As long as that stays in the yellow range it will recover from that, if it goes white, it will be permanent damage.
Things to not do: water from the top. I have had a couple of weberis develop some weird kind of crown rot that has really badly disfigured them. Possibly to the point of removal this Fall if no signs of growing out of it are apparent. Watering the soil around the plant is the best approach. This has only affected my weberis not any of my other Agaves, so I am still figuring out what exactly it is and why it is just affecting my weberis, but top water getting stuck in between the leaves of the plant is one theory.
Weevil sign would show by the plants outer leaves going completely flat agains the ground, not this kind of bendy behavior in the middle of the leaf. The central growth spike is last to go. So it is usually pretty obvious when a plant has been infested and usually by then it is too late... so your plant is not showing that which is good!
