Yeah, he almost had it down because I didn't get the stone path down this year but I had a hose laying down the center and I would tell him to walk by the hose. He would do that but once the larger plants went dormant (and I cut them back) he'd get ahead of me and circle back around through the plant area. for me to 'catch-up'. Now he can't so he waits at the top.
I need to figure out the best way to attach anti- bunny mesh on the inside though. This is not THICK board fencing, it is white wood but more like the width that lattice is made from. I don't think stapling is a good option thus. Thinking maybe a caulk bead, then some white duct tape over once the mesh is smuched into the caulk. Then tack it to the ground with small stakes or large headed (roofing) nails. That would make it easy to remove in when bunny-threat season subsides. Last year they ate an expensive bunch of B&D lilies off right at ground level! Denise says the should come back this year though; I sure HOPE so!
Inky LOVES rabbits! He will chase everything else but every year since I got him, he has adopted a nest of babies and carries them to me in his mouth from the nest. We put them back for the mother to feed and check on them daily. Once they crawl out of the nest he helps them walk by pushing them along gently with his nose. The crazy dawg needs a puppy to take care of I think.
