I've been using a differnt Bonide product that has spinosad which is supposedly a more environment friendly chemical to use. It's called Captain Jack's Brew. It is necessary though to spray on the iris leaves early Spring, around early to mid April before the borers get into the leaves. It's been three years since I started using it and so far I've not seen any borers yet.
