Easy to do with scraps, the rose is made from tiny balls of clay that have been smashed flat. They need to have rounded edges.

I think the photos will show you what you need to know.

Roll a little piece of clay into a ball, then flatten it. One little ball will make each petal. Once you roll the center, then you just keep adding one petal at a time around it.
