I went to my local summer garden shop and smelled all of the petunias and found none with an odor.
When they went on sale in late spring, I went back and decided to buy a hanging basket of purple and pink ones for half price. As soon as they were in my car, I couldn't believe the incredible smell. They have continued to smell wonderful on my deck
Don't trust your nose the first time!
