There is a lot of information I have to tell you about your Dendrobium. It is a Dendrobium phalaenopsis and it is in trouble. Mainly due to need of a re-pot. You show a plant who has roots that are getting in trouble because the media, sphagnum moss is breaking down and holding too much water.
Orchid roots need air to survive. When the media breaks down the roots die back and the plant's health suffers.
Once the growths reach maturity, they won't grow further. They can however bloom again.
Check out our orchid forums where you can read threads about successfully growing orchids. Go to the American Orchid Society website @ www. AOS.org to download pdf files on how to grow Dendrobiums. All of these points are meant to help you to keep your plant alive.
Also check the plant databases for pictures of Dendrobiums.
