The problem with bookmarks: it's too easy to lose them, for example, if you uninstall and reinstall your browser. However, if you use the "Page" feature of your browser to add an icon for the page to your desktop, it seems to be more permanent. Of course it will be unusable following a browser uninstall, but stays there on your desktop ( unless you delete it) and starts working again once you reinstall the browser. At least that's my experience.
Here's how you do it in Firefox android, and I think other browsers are similar.
1. Go to the relevant page in your browser that you want to be able to easily go to. That's probably the first page of this forum.
2. Hit the triple dot menu in the upper right corner of the browser window. Hit "Page". The hit "Add to home screen."
That's it! I keep my desktop icons locked down so they aren't getting accidentally moved around. So, if I want to move the icon to a different position on my desktop, I press and hold on it until the option to temporarily unlock the desktop appears. I opt to unlock it, and then for about 15 seconds I can drag the icon on the desktop to a place where I want it. Then in a few seconds the desktop lock resumes, and everything remains as I have arranged it on my desktop.
