Yep, it's pretty blue. It also has weird purplish tints to it that are hard to see unless the lights hit it right. I'm thinking it may be a hybrid of E. cante.
For my Mammillarias I have a systemic insecticide because mealie bugs are otherwise unreachable under deep spination. Once this plant is dry, when I do water it I will include the insecticide just to be safe.
