Two weeks ago I was at the Region 5 meeting and saw Claude Carpenter's garden for the second time. I want my foliage to look like his! He religiously follow's Scott's program and Scott knows how to do this. I'm on the bandwagon and finally understand that it is very important to rotate these sprays EVERY TIME you spray, because the insects and fungi you spray for quickly build up a resistance to these products. Scott told me it is OK to mix the insecticide and fungicide together and spray them at the same time, so that is what I do! Spray every two weeks. I sprayed last night after taking off all blooms. I rotate these products each time.

Insecticides : Orthene powder 97.4% and Spinosad
Fungicides: ( there are others, see Scott's article in DJ) but I use what I have on hand, the Cleary 3336 and Heritage. ( other products can be used and the generics for these are cheaper.)
