Welcome, @Miamiu! You should be able to grow those small plants into huge ones in Florida. I can't do it outside here, but I do it inside my greenhouse. I have one that has reached the ceiling, and been cut down several times. The main branches are all at least 1 1/2 inches thick.

Florida Colors Nursery sells a wonderful food for Plumerias called 'Excalibur'. It's expensive, but worth it and lasts a very long time. I've been using it on my Hibiscus and they seem to love it too.
