Thank you Hetty, I looked it up, there are 13 species of Tabebuia native to Brasil according to the 'Flora do Brasil'
I googled them all but all the trees I found pictures off, don't have the toothed leaves like mine, they also look thinner in texture..
Then it dawned to me it might not be a tree at all but a shrub, as I found another picture that shows that the trunk behind is from a palm tree Rolling my eyes. Sorry I had forgotten..
