One photo on Tropicos shows the edge of a leaf at the left side which has the same toothed edge. flowers look correct too, and it seems to be a popular street tree, reasons given on the Hawaiian site as being drought resistant which would suit streets where the roots won't get much water.

Native to Venezuela and Colombia.
Said to be highly drought resistant.
Mass flowering following rains that end a dry period.
