From the Huntington.... statement of purpose below the picture. They say the money from the ISI is only used to support that program. Which in my opinion is very much worth supporting.

For what it's worth, you can scan previous years' catalogs and you will see a number of really outstanding species and hybrids which were probably much more scarce in cultivation in the years prior to their original ISI appearance. Another feature I really like about the ISI is the way they try to provide really good background information along with the plants. For example, about this unusual and attractive Tanzanian aloe:
