Blind Pricklypear (Opuntia rufida)

That was sort of my question too. I am not super familiar with them, and I know that plants can look very different and still be the same species.

But when I say this one is small, I mean it is very small. Smaller than my thimble cactus and my peanut cactus. I don't own a Opuntia microdasys but I have seen lots of them and it's also smaller than that.

So if it's a horticultural variety of the regular "Opuntia rufida" I'm impressed with the selective breeding. It's not Rottweiler--vs--Chihuahua so much as Chianina--vs--canary. lol
Keep going!
