Million Pollinator Garden Challenge
The 'hooker' is a night bloomer and incredibly fragrant. Once you get the hang of it you can be pretty sure when the bud(s) will actually bloom. If you're right there, you can literally see the buds pop open. And then the fragrance might be overwhelming for some people (not me). So the blooms usually open around midnight and then die when the sun hits them in the morning. Keep in mind I'm only talking about the Hooker.

I've heard that many of the hybrids not only bloom during the day but some will also stay open for multiple days. Don't know about fragrance.

Since our night bloomers were hanging out of my reach, my ex would put up a ladder so I could watch the blooms open. It was pretty cool.
