beenthere said:Now that I've become more selective and want to try hybridizing, I'm ordering from the hybridizer (if possible and affordable) or from tried and true sites such as O'Bannon Springs (no longer available, other that their own intro's) or Valley Of The Daylilies (always big, happy plants, and the right ones).

Tina, O'Bannon Springs still sells other hybridizers' plants on-site, they just don't ship them anymore.
But I have to second your opinions on these two sellers. Steve Williams has always shipped me huge, healthy plants, though I've never actually visited his gardens. And I love the Bachmans, I want them to adopt me so I can live at Valley Of The Daylilies! I visit at least twice every summer, and I always come home with huge, fantastic clumps. (I have never had VOTD ship to me, so I can't comment on that aspect, but their dependability and generosity would probably also apply to online purchases.)
My "I'd-pawn-a-grandchild-for-a-single-fan" list: Absolutely Fantastic, Ambar Sun, Clown Pants, Of Olden Days, Wolfman, The Day The Earth Stood Still.
