Sounds like the exact place I put my fig, Tee. I wanted something to shade the very hot wall in the summer but let it warm it in the winter and the fig is perfect for that. It has also been *very* fast growing - it was 10" high and a single stick 2 years ago - it's now about 15' with many branches.

And more branches= more figs!
In the end, only kindness matters.

Science is not the answer, it is the question.
