Being a newbie to this forum, it's not my intent or desire to antagonize anyone, let alone a moderator, nationally known authority on semp cultivars and names, as well as one of the prime keepers of the semp DB, and last but not least someone whom I have found to be genuinely, kind and welcoming to any and all.

@valleylynn Your above statement, along with Chris' statement regarding the true cultivar names on the backs of all tags is untrue. Your reiterating of this claim does not make it any less untrue. The following photos are of C.C. tags. You will have to take my word regarding the C.C. names on the front of the tags, as I have not developed the skills to photo both sides of a tag simultaneously.

Semp Reinhardt aka C.C. "Appletini" It's pretty clear there is not original cultivar name on the back of this tag.

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing BigT, thank you for gifting me my laugh for the day. You are awesome. Group hug
1.True, I am the moderator for this forum along with golfinch4 (Chris), and so enjoy all the people here, it is an amazing group of semp lovers.

2. Not so true, "Nationally known authority on semp cultivars and names." We all learn every day, hopefully we never stop that process, not sure that would make me an authority. That is what makes this community so awesome, we all work together towards researching suspect semps. And you are now part of this wonderful community. Hurray!

3. Kinda true about the semp database. I had started the database for semps on my site at Cubits.org. When Dave created this wonderful site I was given the opportunity to move the database here to All Things Plants / NGA.
I knew for the benefit of our much loved sempervivum that it would bring growth and knowledge of these amazing plants to make the move. Voila, here we are today. Thank you Dave Whitinger (@dave). You rock.
And just look at how it has grown. Hurray!

Wow, great photos BigT. Out of all the nurseries I have dealt with that carry the Chick CharmsĀ® that is the first tags I've seen without the original name of the back of the tag. Confused What was the name of the store your wife bought them from?
This is what the back of the tag should look like, using Mark's photo from an above post.

BigT, my wish is that you will be able to come to next years Hybridizing Clinic. I believe you would have a wonderful time being part of an amazing group of semp lovers. And, who knows, maybe even be bit by the hybridizing bug. Smiling
It takes a village to keep information flowing and make good things happen. Group hug
