Lots of choices in mid summer. Corn on the cobb with a side of southern peas, tomatoes and okra or pan fried eggplant with succotash ( butterbeans, tomatoes and corn). In between meals when I get hot and dry, I grab a cold slice of watermelon. Maybe some jalapeno poppers to spice things up. Have plenty of frying peppers but those are used when I feel the need for hamburger or sirloin tips.
