A branch came loose on one of the buildings serviceberry (Amelanchier) trees. I stuck it into an empty plastic bottle about 3 or so weeks ago and when the larger leaves fell off, new ones--see photo--began emerging, (to my utter astonishment.) I'm wondering if anyone knows if it would be worthwhile to plant it: now, later, when it has, if any, roots, or just give it up?. So far I've got shoots and no rooting. Any advice, tips?
Thanks,
John
