Thank you AndreaD, Joshua & Leon (thanks for sharing those photos too), I have been having problem with my computer, hubby finally ordered new one just in case this one decided to quit (I don't like to type with my phone, made too many mistype nodding )
As you suggested I had cut the new growth and planted them, hopefully they will survived this still very hot Summer (we had 102 and 98 is the lowest this week) still about the same next week, I am hoping they will be much cooler soon.
I check most of my Irises in my beds, everything seems to be OK, after this long rains I got quite a bit growth or increases on some of them, but I also found 2 or 3 that just shows the rhizome without leaves but they are hard, is this what do you call bloomed out or is it just not growing any new leaves yet ? Leon, what is Iris borer look like ? Will they eat enough to kill the Iris? I know that there are some roly poly/pill bugs in my raised bed and read somewhere that they also eat/damage Iris rhizomes ? Anyone know what to use to get rid of this ?
Thank you again everyone Group hug ,
