Roll out the clay and condition very good. I started out with 1" circles two of them. One for top one for tottom.
You can go ahead and make tiny feet to put on tottom of base. I use four but three can be used.

Turn it over and you are ready to make the middle.
Thumb of 2011-11-27/Ridesredmule/fa8fbdThis is about 3/4" tall. and you want to make it fit inside the circle.
I put the holes in with my toothpick. You can use a tiny punch also if you wish.

You will need to join together to place on one of the circles....

If you want you can do this on a wooden dowel.
I center this on my little circle.

This is how I formed the little feet. Cut out 4 little feet.

Make another little log and I twisted it together and tapered it like a Unicorn horn. This one is going to sit on the ground.

Thumb of 2011-11-27/Ridesredmule/2a6d89 This one I used a tiny cutter to shape.
I also made a smaller one and it is made much the same way.
The one in the hanger I Put a hole in the pagoda to hang it, but in other I made a circle I have got to take a picture of it...

This shows you the different size of the circles. the smaller one can be used for small lanterns. I love to make them.
