This is a Spindle palm (Hyophorbe verschaffeltii) that I grew from a seedling about 6 inches tall. Its many years old, and because its so slow growing it makes it a good greenhouse palm. This 3 foot trunk represents over 10 years of growth. I managed to get some bromeliads started growing on the trunk! Happy Day! But I can't remember their names...Neoregelias of some type, kinda grapey-purple center
