No, never rooted poinsettias. They are apart of the euphorbia family and I have rooted 'Black Bird' and others just with rooting powder and seed starting soil with lots of luck.
Still no roots on my Dog wood. I have a few cuttings still looking good but no roots. I'm going to try again in the early spring. Maybe with the cutting just comming out of dormancy I will get roots.
Never did any holly, not a big fan of that plant.
