Here is a little contest for the Holidays that myself and Dave came up with. I've met a lot of really nice people on the site and know not all have time to earn enough acorns for the shirt & mug. Well here's your chance. Hope everyone has a great Holiday Season. Dave was kind enough to come up with the rules below.

dave said:Here's how the rules will work: starting now and ending 11:59pm December 10th (UTC) you should post at least one comment to a plant in the database. You can post as many as you want, but you have to post at least one comment to be entered to win.

Maybe pick your favorite plant, or an unusual plant that you think others would like to learn about. Write some interesting facts about it, and why you like it, things like that. Lots of visitors read the comments in the DB and those are probably the most useful things we can do to help new gardeners.

The winner will be drawn on December 11th by me, using a random process. I will put everyone's name into a virtual hat and draw the winning name out. The winner receives 250 acorns from NJBob. He has already given the acorns to me, and I am holding them to give them to the winner. You can spend those acorns to buy a shirt+mug, or keep the acorns to do something else with them!

Have fun!
