I think that a lot of those roots on the right hand clump are alive. They look largely white.
I see fewer on the left clump. The middle piece has maybe the fewest. Once potted up and given fresh media and some water, they will look a whole lot better by 1/1/2019.

Orchid lecturer, teacher and judge. Retired Wildlife Biologist. Supervisor of a nature preserve up until I retired.
