It is suppose to snow today...up to 4 inches. Figure it is a good day to stay in...even though no signs of snow yet. So I'm going to do some baking.

I usually make a few goodies for Christmas. Nothing fancy and not too many different things. I generally make: peanut butter blossoms, pretzels with almond and/or chocolate bark, sometimes trail mix with almond/chocolate bark, frosted sugar cookies, Dutch butter cookies with maybe a pecan or some other goodie pressed in the middle. Those are the "staples" and then I might try something new once in a while. This year I saw a recipe for raspberry cream-cheese mints http://cubits.org/katskitchen/... so I'm going to give that a shot (unfortunately with Cherry extract as it was the closest I could find).

Anyone else baking for the holidays?
