Before I learned about the negatives I was thinking of planting (or liberating) a nandina. And that was also before one of our members,
@Frostweed, taught me about the wonders of going native.
I would encourage you to wait a bit before you sink more $$ into plants. Give us a little time to make some suggestions which you'll be free to ignore. 😝
