This is another simple DIY project that Mike helped me with. His sister Bonnie and I were taking a stroll through the side streets of historic Middleburg when we spotted the idea. I already had 3 trellises that I had picked up during a sale at Lowes and had been wondering where I wanted to use them. This idea seemed perfect. All it required were several pressure treated 4 x 4s and brackets for securing the trellises to the posts. We put it up in the spring of 2017 and I waited for the pressure treated wood to completely dry out before staining it black a few months later. I purchased clematis 'Jackmani' vines this past spring and hopefully in time they will fill out. Lots of shadow play in the photos.
