I strongly agree with removing excess bottom water. That's always a good idea, especially if you do one heavy top-watering after a few eeeks, to flush excess salt or fertilizer builup in the pot.

Gymgirl,

Was your formula for starting with 3% peroxide, or 32-35% peroxide?
I am guessing you use "35%". Drug stores often carry both strengths.

BTW, here is another reccomendation for H2O2 strength,
for uses other than watering baby seedlings.

They seem to be suggesting 2-4 times what you use

0.1% to water or mist plants, to soak seeds, or wash seed sprouts
0.2% for spraying on sick or fungusy plants

starting with 3% H2O2:
0.1%
One and a half teaspoons of 3% peroxide per cup of water, or
1 ounce of 3% peroxide per Quart of water or
1/2 cup of 3% peroxide per gallon

0.2%
One TABLEspoon of 3% peroxide per cup of water, or
2 ounces of 3% peroxide per Quart of water or
1 cup of 3% peroxide per gallon

==================================
If you start with 32% or 35% peroxide, you might want to dilute a little of that by 1/10th and then use the above formula.
Or, from that same website,
0.1%:
2 teaspoons of 35% peroxide per gallon of water

0.2%:
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoonof 35% peroxide per gallon of water
