When John Benz speaks, I listen, because he does know what he is talking about even though he dared to express a few opinions, as well.

An important factor is being ignored in this discussion....there are vast differences in the CROWNS of "hard dormant" daylilies! There are basic cellular differences in the crowns of the "hard dormants" that is not being researched and addressed by the science community that are readily observable by those who hybridize and pay attention to what they see. So go back to the article ignoring the dormant vs deciduous nitpicking, and see what John has to say about the CROWNS and why they are so desirable.
