It is cold, damp and foggy here today. Was hoping the sun would break through, doesn't look like that is going to happen today. So out into the cold to do a bit of clean up. The hellebore are starting to bloom and specie tulips and narcissus are up but not blooming yet.

Every year I had trouble with 'Lavendar and Old Lace'. Such a pretty semp when it is happy.
Karen I culled out a number of colonies last year that continually had problems with either cold/wet or heat/drought. Most of mine now do well year round.
But each of us has such different growing conditions, soil, moisture, cold/dry/wind, the variations are endless. All we can do is figure out the ones that will be happy in our very own situation.
