Glad your friend is taking it so well, Sheryl. That's what I was thinking when the critter had me boxed in and kept advancing....stomach shots - and long needles!!!! Ack! Awfully glad to hear that's not the case any longer.

Janice, yeah...that's what scared me the worst - the thought that my child might get bitten. Hope your friend's son is okay, too.

White-nose syndrome in the bat population ...Hickory trees could be one of the few things that may save them. It spreads throughout the entire population once it's introduced into a cave. Sad My uncle owns a tourist cave in Arkansas and is keeping a close eye on his brown bat populations....so far, I haven't heard that his have been infected.

We had a lovely dinner. It was an unannounced *bonus* for our little guy's wonderful reports from school. Lovey dubby

Only half of the planting actually got done today - perhaps tomorrow it'll get finished.
